027-029 Awaken to dawn and supplies of fun, Boomer and gang go to a meeting with Oberlinde Lines and discuss a lot of things. They talk about the Kinunir and the crate they found various info of the ship. They define the difference between “bots” and “robots”, both of which are on the ship. Boomer sends Rabbit out to retrieve sensors for the mission, and he asks Haruhi to write a virus for possible dispersal onto the ship. Then they all go home, where Boomer contacts Starbots, a local business, and orders two fancy bots to be delivered to him for his plans with Yuri. A little later Juni comes buy at Boomers request to discuss her opinions on what cities to explore on Becks World. Night rolls around and everyone sleeps.
On the next day they gang all just rest and prepare to go, gathering supplies and making sure everything is set. They make sure all the gear is set and ready to go. Boomer makes plans on what to do on their trip and what to do should that fail.
Next day, the gang all get up and go to the Columbus and go to Becks World. It is a small 2 hour trip, for the Columbus, and they arrive on a crappy junk-hole of a world, with a pitiful starport to land on. They enter the Last Stopover, the local bar and set up shop. They find a palace to rent a vehicle, Joe’s Jeeps, and find Sgt. Cabell to talk to to get a license from. They acquire all the necessary paperwork and vehicle and Juni chooses a city to start in. They go there, and find lodging at the No Tell Motel for a week, and search, but all in vain. Darkness falls, and they rest.
030-036 For each and every day they search around, but come up with junk. A couple of days they find nifty stuff, but in the end it’s all still junk. Boomer starts to wonder about this part of the mission. On the final day they break camp and head to the next city over. They find another branch of the No Tell Motel and acquire rooms for another week again, and settle in.
037-039 This day they search about and find something nifty, but are ambushed by a pack of wandering outlaws. They fight, and win, but barely. They escape with the device and return home. Juni examines the device for a day or so and decides it is the “other half” of the AI in the Kinunir and what they were seeking. Boomer pays th finders-fee to Becks World and they go all the way to Glisten. There they drop off Juni and her find and then they go back to Regina. They check into the local TAS for the evening.
040 Wake and board the Columbus to go to their best bet – Kinorb. Amazingly, they find the Kinunir waiting and “searching”. They contact it a bit and communicate with it until it starts maneuvering closer. They avoid it and think on a new tact to deal with it.
